============================================================================
Show Call 2.70
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* A new feature allows the sysop to clear the display file by
invoking Show Call from an event at midnight using a command
line parameter. See Section 2.1, Part D in the SHOWCALL.DOC.
Show Call 2.60:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* A bug in using VERBOSE strings for security levels is now fixed.
* The STATISTICAL status set has been added. This will show the
number of Uploads, Downloads, and Messages written for each caller.
* You may now change the Subscriber identifier to say anything you
like. For example: Contributor or Donator, instead of Subscriber.
* A problem with Show Call locking-up under DESQview has now been
resolved.
Show Call 2.50:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* Version 2.50 is a MAJOR upgrade. Seven new features are included
in this release.
* Built-in "who-called yesterday" generator for REGISTERED users.
Due to the great success and growing popularity of Show Call,
I feel that a who-called yesterday generator is a nice addition
for registered versions. Many thanks are extended to all
registered users.
* A toggle for showing local logons has been added. The sysop may
now choose to have prevent local logons from appearing in the
display file.
* Blinking color support has been added. This is accessible
from within the custom color editor.
* A subscriber indicator has been added. With this feature enabled,
Show Call will place a dollar sign next to the callers whose
security levels are in the Subscriber Level range.
* 2 more STANDARD status prompts have been added. "Restricted"
indicates users who logon but are denied access to a particular
node. "Normal Call" indicates a normal logon and logoff.
* A date format selector has been added to accommodate the European
date format as well as the U.S. format.
* An indicator has been added to show when the LAST 10 CALLERS
display method is enabled.
* The System Efficiency formula has been modified.
* A registration form generator has been added.
Show Call 2.21:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* Minor bug fix in USER ACTIVITY feature.
* Pause prompts re-adjusted for easier viewing.
Show Call 2.20:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* The new Color Code selector was added to SCSETUP. This is
a very important feature which gives the sysop the option of
using escape codes or @-codes to create the display file.
This feature is necessary because most Sysops would prefer to
use @-codes instead of escape codes due to the occasional caller
who logs on with no color support. If only escape codes were
used, then the caller would see a mess of garbage on the screen.
Some sysops still prefer to use escape codes and therefore the
option to choose one or the other has been included in SCSETUP.
* The PAGE BREAK feature was modified to display 12 callers per
screen instead of 14.
Show Call 2.15:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* Show Call now requires approximately 30k less memory.
* Minor bug was fixed concerning the USER ACTIVITY feature.
Show Call 2.12:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* Minor bug was fixed concerning the USER ACTIVITY feature.
* NODE and CALLS columns were swapped.
Show Call 2.11:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* Major bug was fixed concerning the new USER ACTIVITY feature.
Show Call 2.10:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* Show Call now supports 3 different ANSI display methods.
The first method is CONTINUOUS. This is the default and
tells Show Call to create one long list of the callers
for the current day. The second is PAGE BREAK and this
method will break a long list into pages with headers
and footers. The third method is LAST 10 CALLERS. This
will tell Show Call to display only the last 10 callers
for the current day.
* The Status Detection algorithm has been expanded to allow
sysops to choose the USER ACTIVITY status set. In addition
to the STANDARD set which shows New User, Drop Carrier, Logged
Off and Time Expired, the USER ACTIVITY set indicates the caller's
most frequented activity. It counts the number of times a user
performs certain functions and categorizes the caller as one of
the following: Door Player, Uploader, Downloader, Reader, Writer
or Browser. This feature has been calculated to be accurate 85%
of the time.
Show Call 2.05:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* The Efficiency option has been added for multi-node systems.
Rather than having the efficiency calculated as the total
number of minutes of all nodes divided by the total minutes
since midnight, sysops running multi-node systems can have
the efficiency represent the busiest node (node with most
minutes). Single-node systems will not be affected by this.
This feature was added to prevent popular boards from appearing
lame due to the efficiency value. :)
